There are multiple ways to navigate the chart on Symbolik using your mouse, keyboard, or the Chart Controls toolbar feature.
Panning
You can easily navigate through historical data on your chart by panning left and right. Using your mouse or touchpad, simply click and drag on the chart canvas. You can use the left arrow (back arrow) and right arrow (forward arrow) keys on your keyboard to step back and forward on the chart.
To reset the pan on your chart to its default settings, simply hit the "Enter" button on your keyboard. You can also right-click on the X-Axis and select "Jump To Current". If you adjusted the price scale, you can reset by right-clicking on the Y-Axis and select "Price Rescale."
Zooming
To zoom in on the chart, click and drag the X-axis at the bottom of the chart to the left. If your device has a touchpad or touchscreen, a reverse-pinch gesture will cause the chart to zoom in. To zoom in using a mouse wheel, scroll up. You can use the up arrow key on your keyboard to zoom in on the chart as well.
To zoom out on the chart, click and drag the X-axis at the bottom of the chart to the right. If your device has a touchpad or touchscreen, a pinching gesture will cause the chart to zoom out. To zoom out using a mouse wheel, scroll down. You can use the down arrow key on your keyboard to zoom out on the chart as well.
To reset the zoom scale to the default level, hit “Enter” on your keyboard. You can also right-click on the X-Axis and select "Chart Rescale".
Price Scale
To adjust the range of price values displayed on the chart, click and drag the Y-axis up or down. To reset the Price Scale back to its default level, hit “Enter” on your keyboard or right-click on the Y-axis and select "Price Rescale"
Chart Controls
To activate the Chart Controls toolbar, click on the Chart Settings icon below the Y-axis and select "Chart Controls". The Chart Controls toolbar will appear at the bottom providing buttons to pan, zoom, and navigate the chart.
Chart Preview
Application, chart and chart tool settings are shown on-screen as changes are made, allowing users to preview how things will look prior to confirming the changes. This is helpful when considering modifications to display properties as well as studies, draw tools and applying conditions to your chart.
