Accessing Symbolik Social
To access Symbolik Social, go to https://Symbolik.com/social and log in with your existing Symbolik.com username and password.
Or, you can use the Symbolik Social integrated directly within the Symbolik charting application by clicking the Social button in the right side Action Bar.
Creating Posts
You can quickly communicate with other Symbolik users by creating a post from anywhere on the desktop or mobile site via the blue “New post” button. When the Create new Post module appears: Create a title, complete the body of your post and add related categories if desired.
You'll notice that the placeholder text for the post body mentions #hashtags and $symbols. Each of these, in addition to categories, will make your content easier for other users to find.
- Categories are entered in their own field when creating a new post (see above). Adding categories allows you to tag your post with a high-level description of the content. This could include things like Idea, Education, Bullish, Bearish, Neutral, etc. Think of categories as an organizational tool across the platform to describe the general theme of your content.
- #Hashtags are similar to Categories and can be made using any word or combination of words. As with other platforms, these are generally used to highlight elements within your content. To create a hashtag, just begin by entering the # character followed by your word or phrase (without spaces), then select the hashtag of your choice within the resulting dropdown.
- Sharing a chart, news article, or thoughts on a specific symbol? Make sure to add those $Symbols by entering the $ character followed by the symbol or company name and selecting the desired symbol from the dropdown menu.
Searching Symbolik Social
The Search bar gives you the ability to quickly find content from within the community. Simply submit your inquiry into the search bar and see your results. The results page includes a count of your total search results at the top and tabbed views to access by type. You can also further filter your results using the same options as your Feed page.
Notifications
Visit your Notifications Page to track the following types of notifications:
- Comments
- Upvotes
- Reposts
- Follows
- System notifications
Each notification will include a link giving you access to the users who are engaging with your content, as well as additional pertinent information. Notifications will always be listed chronologically with the most recent at the top.
Viewing and Managing your Profile and Account Settings
To view or manage your profile or accounts settings, first click on your username or avatar icon in the lower left of the screen. From this menu, you can:
- View your profile
- Edit your Profile
- Manage Account Settings
- View and edit Draft or Unpublished posts
- Change your Theme Settings
