The News feature lets you stay up to date with market-relevant headlines directly inside Symbolik. You can browse trending stories, filter by category, follow specific news sources, search by ticker or keyword, and control how articles are displayed.
Opening the News Panel
- On the right-hand sidebar, click the
Newspaper icon to open the News panel.
- Each article displays:
- Cover image (if available)
- Headline
- Short description
- Source
- Date and time published
News Tabs: Popular vs Feed
At the top of the News panel are two tabs:
Popular
Displays trending articles across selected categories.
Feed
Displays articles only from your selected news sources.
Searching News Articles
You can search for specific news directly within the News panel.
- Click the
Search icon.
- Enter:
- Company name
- Ticker symbol
- Asset class
- Any keyword
Customizing Article Appearance
Control how much information is shown for each article.
- Click the Ellipses (⋯) menu.
- Choose appearance option
- Select one of the following options:
Full
- Large image or GIF
- Full headline
- First sentence of the article
- Source, date, and time
Headline (Default)
- Full headline
- First sentence
- Smaller thumbnail image
- Source information
Brief
- Full headline
- First sentence
- No thumbnail image
- Source information
Minimal
- Headline only
- Source information

Customizing News Categories (Popular Tab)
You can customize which categories appear in the Popular tab.
- Click the Ellipses (⋯) menu in the News panel.
- Select Settings.
- Choose one of the available categories:
- All
- Business
- Entertainment
- General
- Health
- Science
- Sports
- Technology
Customizing News Sources (Feed Tab)
You can tailor your Feed to include only articles from specific publishers.
- Open Settings from the ellipses (⋯) menu.
- Under Feed Sources, select or deselect publishers.
- Available sources include:
- ABCNEWS.GO.COM
- ACBJ.COM
- APNEWS.COM
- BARRONS.COM
- BBC.COM
- BENZINGA.COM

Action Bar Panel Resizing
Application widgets in the right-hand panel are fully responsive and resizable, giving you greater control over how you use your screen space. You can adjust the width of each panel to suit your workflow. Even better, the platform remembers your last-used sizing for each widget, so when you return to a feature, it reopens exactly the way you left it—no need to readjust.
