When using a multi-chart layout, you have the option to Link Charts together. Linked charts allows you to analyze the performance of a specific ticker over multiple intervals. When you change the symbol of linked charts, all the charts linked will change to that symbol. If you change interval, that will only apply to the active chart window.
You can access these options from one of two menus.
- Right Click Menu: Right Click anywhere in the background of your Symbolik chart and find the Split Chart options.
- Chart Settings Menu: You can find the Chart Settings Menu in the lower right corner of the chart. Click on the ellipses to access.
Primary and Secondary Linked Charts
When you designate a primary chart, if you change the symbol in that chart, it will change the symbol in all linked charts, both primary and secondary will follow the symbol change. If you change the symbol in a secondary chart, it will change the symbol for that chart only, and the Primary will remain the same.
You can designate multiple Primary and Secondary Charts within a single workspace or designate all charts as Primary Charts.
Multiple Linked Chart instances on the same Workspace
While you are designating your Primary and Secondary Charts, you will notice a color circle there as well. Clicking the color circle will enable you to have multiple linked chart instances on the same workspace.
For Example, in the image below, the Grey Circles are linked together and the Red Circles are linked together. Solid circles are for Primary and hollow circles and for Secondary links.
