Using Multiple Tabs can help you organize your charts and easily toggle between symbols or chart settings quickly and efficiently. Improve your workflow using Multiple Tabs available with a subscription to Symbolik Plus or Advanced.
Symbolik Plus and Advanced subscribers can have up to 30 tabs per workspace.
Creating a new blank Tab
Click the Chart Menu Settings button in the upper right corner of the chart and click New Tab.
Once you have more than one Tab on your display, you can quickly add another blank tab by clicking the '+' in the tab bar.
New blank Tabs will have the settings set as default in the Profile Settings menu.
To remove a Tab from the Tab Bar, click the 'x' to close.
Duplicate a chart in a New Tab
To avoid completely rebuilding your chart with the settings, studies and draw tools of your preference in a new tab, you can choose to Duplicate a Chart in a New Tab. You can access this option from the right click menu or from the Chart Menu Settings in the upper right corner of the chart.
One popular use case for this feature, if you have a multi-chart view and want to 'maximize' a chart to look deeper at that particular set of tools or interval. Duplicate it in a new tab, and then you can close the tab to go back to the multi-chart view.
Rearranging Tabs
You can easily rearrange your tabs by dragging and dropping them into your preferred order. Simply click and hold a tab, move it to the desired position, and release.
Multi-Tab Right Click Menu
Right clicking on the chart tab will bring up the Mutli-Tab Menu. From this menu, you can:
- Rename Tab
- Duplicate Tab
- Close Tab
Rename Tabs
You can now customize the names of your chart tabs for better organization and quicker navigation between layouts, strategies, symbols, or timeframes.
To rename a chart tab:
- Right-click the chart tab you want to rename
- Select Rename Tab
- Enter your custom tab name
- Click Apply
Important Renaming Notes
By default, chart tabs automatically update their names to reflect the active symbol and interval displayed on the chart.
Once a tab has been manually renamed, it will no longer automatically follow symbol or interval changes. The custom name will remain fixed until the tab name is reset back to its default behavior.
If you want the tab to resume automatically updating with the current symbol and interval, open the Rename Tab option again and use the Refresh/Reset icon to restore the default naming formula.
Hidden Tabs (Overflow Menu)
If you have more tabs open than can fit in the window, additional tabs will appear in the overflow menu. Access the overflow menu to quickly view and select any hidden tabs.
